Biography

Coming from a family of artists Angela began to paint and study art at an early age. Sensitive to her surroundings, Angela was encouraged to paint from life and memory.  Her training included many studies from the old masters and her deep love for the Impressionists was influential in the development of her style and technique.

Capturing the essence of her subject in a bold intuitive way, Angela uses vigorous expressive strokes and minimal color mixing on the pallet to create landscapes, city scenes, portraiture and other scenes from her life’s memories. Most of Angela’s work is painted from memory conveying messages conscious and unconscious that provoke thought and contemplation.

“I have a deep and endless passion for painting that began early and has never waned. With a paintbrush in hand, I allow what I feel to come through without rules, restrictions or constraints. This, of course, is very freeing for me and painting is perhaps one of my greatest joys in life.”
