Biography

Vickie Nelson, an award-winning national and international artist living in Camas, Washington with her husband and numerous pets, teaches watercolor at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and workshops throughout the Northwest. She has many prints and greeting cards through multiple companies around the world.

Artist Statement:  When I discovered watercolor painting, there was instant passion.  Color in all its infinite change was at my brush tip.  Five seconds after putting paint to paper, I was hooked and I found endless excitement. I want my paintings to have a freshness and spontaneity as well as stir the inner emotions of the viewer.  I’d like for them to walk away having felt the romance of days past.....

• Nominated "Teacher of Excellence" Clark College 2005.

• Featured Painting "Radio Red" in SPLASH 9 - a Northlight Book Publication.

• Freelance artist for multiple greeting card companies, such as Painted Hearts and Friends; Artist of North America; Caledon Cards and print company Felix Rosenstiels Widow and Son LTD. (London, England).

• Featured by Artist Magazine; Northlight Book Club Magazine; Landmark Calendars; Artist Graphic and Designers Market Book, 2000.
